Un Techo para mi País- Ecuador started in 2003 with a mixture of fear and excitement at the idea of turning what had simply been a utopia into the reality of an Ecuador without poverty. To be a part of UTPMP Ecuador is to have the humility and respect to believe and dream that each one of us can make a difference. As university students we have a responsibility to create an Ecuador that is more equal and just, and we have the capacity to be dreamers and to incorporate more than 300,000 families living in extreme poverty into this dream. We face a long road with many challenges, but we work to inspire others to join us and fight for what Ecuador can be: the reality of equality.
